Version 1.02

This is a program to edit three files (designed for modifying Hearts of Iron files), specifically comparing two versions of a file to edit a third version.

You'll need Java 1.4.2 run time environment installed before you can run this program. You can get Java from Sun at:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

(Download the "JRE" unless you plan to develop Java software yourself).

What does this do? Our program allows you to load and edit three files. Specifically it is intended that you would load one version of a file in the left pane, another version in the right (center) pane and a third version for your customization in the edit (right) pane. Using the "scan" button you can highlight the first difference of the first two files.

Usage:

• Double click on StarfireEdit3.jar to run it.
• Load the three versions of the file you wish to work with.
• Use "scan" to detect the first change in the first two files
• Use the difference information to edit your third file.
• Edit one of the first two files to match the other and use scan to find the next change.
• Save only your third file (but you can save either of the first two if you wish).

• Font size can be adjusted for all files
• All three files stay perfectly aligned for easy comparison.
