Bastet's Story

AAAAAAUUUUUUUUU!
Her soul cried out in anguish as the Tier'Dal guards took her life. Upon returning to Norrath as empty handed as the day she arrived she started out from Freeport (dirty little town- how she missed Erud) towards Neriak where her remains lay... Upon entering the Nektulos forest she followed what she thought was the path she had previously used to get to Neriak entrance.  after much running and turning she managed to lose a few skeletons in the Lavastorm Mountains.  She sat down and thought carefully.  "What now?  I have no idea where I am..."  She was loathe to ask for help...except from one human.

Odyssy Wonderingflame was a great magician of much reknown.  When she had first entered the Nektulos forest with him and another Loth..something or other, there was Tier'Dal blood on her mind.  "How dare they go against the wishes of Quellious and disturb the peace! They shall pay for their arrogance...".  She noticed some of the other brave souls that had also come for the battle, recognized the Mage and were engaging him in conversation. "Odyssy I'm lost!"  she said.  He hated to sound plaintive but she really was lost...there is no point being brave and stupid...might as well be humble.  She learned that from her parents and being disgusted with their racial hatred of others and narrow minds. "Hold on, I'll come and find you".  She re-entered the forest and awaited the great human.  From behind her came a great noise - she didn't have time to turn before she realized there were Iron and Stone Guardians around her and killing her again, while a Tier'Dal watched...

Back in Freeport her determination to shed Tier'Dal blood reached a crescendo.  Lanys T'Vyl had appeared and was fighting her fellow guildmates!! She must be there, she must do her part!  She ran...

This time Odyssy found her by the bridge and lead her into Neriak. Luckily the guard population was being kept down by a few brave souls. She retrieved her belongings, enjoying the feel of bronze in her hands, but saddened that the fight was now moving towards Freeport.  At least she thought it might be...the army of light seemed to be fractioned....

Walking back towards the commons with Odyssy the Tier'Dal were calling out their disgust for the forces of good and a few happened to tag along beside Odyssy waiting for a guard to catch and kill him.  There was no such luck.  In fact at one point he assisted in killing of one.  Bastet chuckled at the Tier'Dal's dissappointment.

At the entrance to the east commonlands, Odyssy and Bastet paused so Odyssy could regenerate his mana.  At this point his tolerance of the Tier'Dal's insulting cat-calls became enough. He shouted out "Anyone want to duel a first time dueler?"  He is ever so modest.

His first fight came when a Tier'Dal challenged him "Odyssy, feel like dying?"  Odyssy obliged and quickly dispatched the little whelp without casting a single spell.  His pet took him down.  The crowd that had gathered murmured.  "Wow, that was quick" someone said clearly.

From the distance we heard the unfortunate loser shout "Odyssy you got lucky that time."  Odyssy replied in typical modest fashion "Yeah, I guess I did."  When the Tier'Dal returned he questioned Odyssy as to his experience and Odyssy told him his level.  The Tier'Dal laughed heartily.  "Your PET conned red to me!"  No hard feelings all around - the battle had been fought and only the prides were in jeopardy now.

The next individual, came along and stood in front of us and several others, flinging some of the most horrendous names at us.  Her blood boiled but she stood her ground.  He wouldn't last half as long as that first Tier'Dal did against this one.  Odyssy stood up.  The Tier'Dal balked - yet continued his barrage of insults.  "Excuse me" she said, quite livid now "I do believe Odyssy is willing to fight you.  Why are you saying that no one will fight you?"

"He's 11 levels higher than me, I don't want to fight him." Was the answer.

Bastet gathered all her decency and strength not to smack the individual across the face.  "Then why do you continue to harrass us?  I do not challenge you because you are so much stronger than, I, but I am not standing here insulting you either!"  The Tier'Dal finally did the honourable thing and accepted the challenge.

He finally agreed to duel Odyssy.  This fight took quite some time as Odyssy related to me later, how the Tier'Dal became invisible and Odyssy couldn't target him for his spells.  Odyssy came out the victor however, with some major damage.  Once again from the distance a cry was heard. "Odyssy I want a rematch!"  At this point, she had become very weary and
bid Odyssy a fond farewell, promising him that his great deeds and helpfulness would not go unrepaid (/ooc is that a word?).

She heard later the next day that Odyssy was once again the victor, this time by a greater margin.  Odyssy was able to keep the Tier'Dal in his sights even when he tried the invisible trick again.

I just wanted to relay to you the wonderful actions of Odyssy Wonderingflame that fateful night and once again offer him my sword and anything else I can give. I also wanted to make sure that people understand he was not beating up on weaklings.  Both of these individuals WANTED to fight him.  He merely put them in their place.

This guild is that much greater for someone like him.  I only hope in the coming months of this war, that when Innoruuk shows his stinking face, that I can be there, with Odyssy and Balar by my side when we STICK IT TO HIM!!
