For days forces gathered to defend High Hold....

When the event was nigh upon us, many stood about bickering over leadership and whether the attack would ever come.  Lt. Ovilion appeared suddenly as if a messenger from the gods.  He stood amidst the chaos and assured everyone that the battle drew near.  Balar approached him for further news.  Lt. Ovilion charged Balar with the task of leading the defense of High Hold and made him a "Sargeant".

Balar spoke with those that had marched with him upon Neriak and set up defensive forces in the Kithicor pass and strategically placed inside and outside High Hold Keep.  Scouting forces, some lead by Kaia, were sent forward into West Commons and East Commons.  Ayrnquad positioned his troops as requested in the High Hold pass. Spies reported Lanys finally mustering her forces (still having a difficult time finding anyone who would follow her).  Soon a force of extremely powerful evil unleashed itself upon East Commons and many innocent adventurers were slain nearly instantly.  A force of ??? was left blocking the tunnel to Ro, stopping even the most powerful of armies from passing.  The evil horde turned west and came into West Commons.  Intense fighting broke out in West Commons as the evil horde made it's way toward Kithicor.

Spies and bards constantly brought back word to High Hold Keep where Balar issued orders and directions.  Many of "brave" defenders slipped away as they began to fear that nothing would stop the evil horde.  They feared that all would be slain.  Many slipped off into the wilderness in hopes that the evil would not find them.  Balar offered to double the pay for those who would remain, in an effort to retain enough forces to defend the Keep.

Balar oversaw a constant rotation as battle weary troops retreated to High Hold Keep for rest and dispatched fresh heroes to battle Lanys T'Vyl.  Battle raged fiercely in Kithicor.  Niccoli the bard continued his reports as he served as an eyewitness to the confrontation between Lanys T'Vyl and Firionna Vie.

A wizard apparently charmed Carson McCabe in High Hold and there was some combat outside the keep.

Allendale called for reinforcements for Rivervale.  But there were none - Allendale, Corfax, Fugisawa and the others battled on bravely in Rivervale and against all odds finally defeated the evil invaders.

Laarthik was brought down and apparently Lanys T'Vyl was too.  A spell exploded and virtually every brave soul in Kithicor was slain.

Now Kithicor stands haunted... a grim, deadly, evil place... treacherous to travel through.
