Captured plans indicated that Lanys T'Vyl intended to attack High Hold. Balar rallied troops to march to Nektulos for a pre-emptive strike...
With approximately seventy followers Balar marched on Nektulos to confront Lanys T'Vyl. Our advance scouts were met by several guards at the Nektulos zone and were forced to pull back. Reinforcements arrived and our army was able to make their way into Nektulos. Soon we captured the bridge. At this point there were nearly as many dark elves as there were members of the Forces of Light (over 140 players in the Nektulos zone). Our forces pushed all the way to the gates of Neriak. A few brave souls entered Neriak but were virtually immediately slain. Balar stepped back as two dark elf guards stood in front of him at the entrance to Neriak.
We called for Lanys T'Vyl to face us. We were intent on proving that we were not afraid of her and that we would defend High Hold at whatever risk. Soon Lanys came forth with a host of powerful companions and laid waste to many of our front line people. Balar stood toe to toe with Lanys but quickly fell back bloodied and near death. Delora was slain almost instantly along with many others that stood at the entrance to Neriak.
Lanys called for her followers to attack Freeport in retaliation for our bold attack. Balar stood near the entrance to Neriak continuing to defy Lanys but for some reason she didn't press the attack and eventually Balar slipped away to Lavastorm where he was able to meet up with a few allies before dashing back through Nektulos to defend Freeport. Lanys had few willing to follow her command though and there was no real attack on Freeport. (Lanys herself did not attack Freeport)
