Verant has made a confusing world in which to purchase armor. The AC rating of a piece of armor doesn't match the actual gain of putting on that piece of armor. So just how do you figure out how much to pay for a particular piece of armor? Well, I don't have an answer but I'll pass along some information I've gathered.
Balar did some shopping in Rivervale. Keep in mind that Balar doesn't have a high charisma and the halflings don't exactly regard him as their buddy (so the prices are a bit high). Pricing out (mostly chainmail) Balar found that buying armor at the shop would cost between 4.2 Platinum per AC point to a high of 16.8 Platinum per AC point. From what I've heard nobody buys armor from the shopkeepers.

Mino Axes appear to be selling from players for 3-4 PP.
