News flash: our latest intelligence reports indicate that the dark elven minions are planning to attack High Hold this weekend (October 29th-31st)... that is if enough of them survive our attack!
Balar is leading a counter attack against the dark elven minions on Thursday, October 28th at 7:00 PM Central time.
Our plan is to form an initial group in High Hold and march through Kithicor, West Commons (possibly stopping quickly in Befallen), East Commons, West Freeport (to give people an opportunity to bind) and on into Nektulos. We will be shouting our defiance of the evil dark elves and Innoruuk along the way and encouraging others to join and march with us. Expect to die. Odyssy will accompany us but he has warned that in at least one encounter the GM character (for the daughter of Innoruuk) is invulnerable and can not even be targeted by a player. And we all know how deadly just a single dark elven guard can be.
I have overheard a few comments and chatted with a few people. In addition to the posts below that I've read from other web sites it appears that the GMs have started an ongoing series of events. From what I've heard GMs have shown up in several locations including Kelethin, Kithicor, Nektulos and Innothule. My intention is to interact with their story line and bring their attention to our guild (thus immersing our guild into the dynamic quest story line).
Tidbits from Friday October 22nd:
At around 1am EST on the Tribunal, the forces of good were successful in intercepting a messenger carrying plans of a Dark Elf invasion of High Hold Keep. The small force of good was mustered by Felinin Deepwood, who apparently has strong ties with Lord Tephys in High Hold Keep. The messenger turned out to be a Dark Elf necromacer who was quite tough and, thankfully, she fell before many of us were slain. To the best of my knowledge no valiant adventurers were lost! The battle took place in Kithicor wood near High Hold Pass. Upon retrieving the invasion plans, Felinin returned them to Lord Teyphus in the Keep and those present received their rewards. Lord Teyphus was disturbed by this news of an upcoming invasion and immediately sent messengers to Freeport in order to secure forces to protect the keep. He warned us to be ready once the call to arms went out and we gladly offered our services. Soon the invasion will occur and we are confident that the Dark Elf army will be repelled!!
This was one part of a dynamic quest that took place on the Tribunal Server. I am anxious to hear about the other parts so please post something if you know about it. It was a lot of fun and the rewards consisted of gold bars, pretty good loot. I have to say that it was great fun to finally take part in a dynamic quest and I am eagerly anticipating how the rest unfolds.

Another post:
The same event was started on Innoruuk last night, about 11pm EST, when I was approached (Laarthik K'Shin, I believe was the name of the character - he didn't show up in WHO or WHO ALL, so I figured it was legit) in the woods of Nektulos and asked to gather other Tier'Dal of my level and wait at the entrance to Neriak for more information. I was told that we would be escorting the Daughter of Innoruuk to retrieve Abhorrent (sp?) Armor from the forces of Tunare and that at least ten of us were needed.
I gathered friends of appropriate race and level, and while we waited at Innoruuk, another couple of DE showed up from places like Karanas and Unrest, having been called also...
...then about 2:00am EST, when nothing had happened, and we hadn't heard any word, we just sorta dispersed.

This evening, at the entrance to Neriak, there was a 'new' NPC (or GM). I say new because I have never seen her there before. She claims that she is the daughter ofInnoruuk and that her father had given her a test to complete. She also suggested that she will be given more tests and was accepting aid from her dark brethren.
So far, it seems that she had been given only one test. This test is in Befallen. She was to seek out Crimson Teir'Dal and slay it. The Crimson Teir'Dal were once guardians of Innoruuk, but have gone insane. She received Bracers of Hate upon completing the test.
She would tell me when or what the next test will be...
Now, is this Armor of Hate a new line of armor? Or am I just really out of date? Anybody actually gone down to Befallen and killed the Crimson Teir'Dal and got Bracers of Hate? If so, what are the stats?
With this response on 10/8/99:
There is only one set of bracers of hate. They were for the daughter
of hate herself. With death of the crimson leader she received them. She
also got a second piece of armor which I know not the name of. The entire
quest is for the loyal brethren to protect her while she tries to build
up the whole set and become the true avatar of hate.

I am no spinner of tales, but a simple priestess in the service of Innoruuk. Still, the events to which I have borne witness demand a forum, so I will do my best…
I few scant hours past, a battle, the likes of which The Nektulos has never seen, was fought. A group of pale champions, whose names are insignificant, boldly entered our lands. Who can say what their goals were, but their skins were pale so their motives were foul. I do not know what sparked the argument between their leader and a Tier’Dal called Lanys T’Vyl. Perhaps that too is unimportant. Suffice it to say, that Lanys was a fiercely outspoken advocate of Innoruuk and her words quickly drew the pale human and his fellows out for some bloodshed. A small crowd gathered as the drama began to unfold near the pass to the human lands.
I had expected a duel between powerful enemies, a treat to behold under
any circumstances. I was not prepared for what happened next. The fight
was joined, not between a pair of duelist bent on protecting their honors,
but between the brave
and noble Lanys and the entire pale band! Repeatedly did the Tier’Dal
champion have at the heavily armed and armored fools as they, sometimes
six in number, attempted to bring her down. To my young eye, it was a fight
of inevitable outcome,
and my heart ached at the thought of loosing one so devoted to The
Father. Innoruuk had other ideas though. Lanys, who seemed a first glance
to be younger even that I, stung the invaders while herself suffering virtually
no injury. My sisters,
Nubia and Mintaka, a troll shaman, and I spent our own feeble strength
healing and strengthening the great Lanys, but it was clear that she never
needed our aid.
The battle was fought in two parts and lasted a full thirty minutes. Throughout even the most pitched fighting, Lanys was virtually uninjured, while her foes several times fell back letting their comrades fight on while they mended themselves. It was Lanys herself who made the truth behind her supernatural prowess clear. She proclaimed herself The Daughter of Innoruuk, and his harbinger. Even as she toyed with her foes, she spoke to us of preparedness. Her words foretold the coming of Hate and the day of The Fathers triumphant conquest of Norrath. My heart leapt as the prophesies were written before me in the blood of our enemies, and I was overcome with elation. Our time was at hand! Hail Innoruuk! Hail The Father!
The great battle was her pulpit, and from it Lanys, Daughter of Innoruuk
did her Father’s work. Her message delivered, The Daughter mocked the futility
of the pale skin’s attacks and confidently walked North toward Neriak,
those same futile attacks
following her as she carelessly went. Several of our loyal guards threw
themselves at the invaders as they passed. Those valiant defender’s blood
stains the forest now, and I bless them for their sacrifice. My sisters
and I followed as she walked, but her task was complete and we were not
meant to follow. She and her attackers were lost to us somewhere North
of the bridge, and we were left shaken and spent to ponder her coming.
Quake, fools of Norrath! Your time draws near! The Tier’Dal are at hand! All praise The Father!

From Everquest Express Letters to the Editor Issue 95:
This is in regards to the Straylight Saga happening on the realm known as Rallos Zek. My name is Kallystra and many of you may know me from my weekly articles in this very site. I am also a participant of the Straylight Saga on Rallos Zek and I am the child in question who was (and still is) theDaughter of Innoruuk (although the storyline in this has yet to show that). Let me basically tell what happened before, during, and after this issue. I have been roleplaying Kallystra, child of Mahlyce and Daughter of Innoruuk for some time. As far as any of us knew on RZ.com (ralloszek.com), I was the only "Daughter" of Innoruuk, GM or player run (although you will find quite a few sons) on any server. The storyline has been running a long time and is part of the plot of the Straylight Sage. One night, I entered Neriak to come face to face with Lanys T'Vyl (a GM) who called herself the Avatar of Hate and the Daughter of Innoruuk and called me a falsechild. I roleplayed my part against her, trying to make her prove that she is who she claims to be by asking her to recite the Litany of Birth, the Litany of Purpose, or atleast the Commandments of Innoruuk. We were having a pretty good time even though I was killed a few times by "The Power of the Gods" even though I had never laid a hand on her. Finally, she attacked one of the Blood Coven members (a guild of Teir'Dal sisters dedicated to the Father and our Queen). I could not take such blasphemy and stood between them. I was attacked and then when I called her a falsehood because she couldn't even state the Commandments, I was squelched (made so I could not talk in /say, /shout, /guildsay, /g) which I felt an abuse of power for I had roleplayed the entire time. I emailed Brad and crew and never received a response. Anyhow, the next time I faced Lanys T'Vyl, we mended our differences for the betterment of those that really mattered, the players. We now try and work together to bring the Teir'Dal community closer. When I see her, I acknowledge her as the Avatar of Hate and my sister and she acknowledges me as her sister and a Daughter of Innoruuk. There have been a few GM-driven quests and I have stood beside her and the others to help accomplish these things. I am very pleased with the way Verant is FINALLY trying to do more than just simple quests and trying to get an ongoing storyline. I also foresee Verant trying to assist more PlayerRun Quests (and I don't just mean those that are running to kill Lady Vox) and Storylines. It took them awhile to see things were not as they promised but are working hard to fix that. I have a few suggestions to help bring Verant and the Roleplaying Community closer together and have emailed them to Mr. Butler and Brad but never received a response. So, all in all, I believe the "Daughter of Innoruuk" plot that was "borrowed" from the Straylight Saga storyline was a low blow (they could of at least asked) but then again, I am flattered they liked the idea. I am even happier that the GMs and Guides on Rallos Zek are working to better the relations between Roleplayers and them and not just "squelch" us anymore =)
Kallystra,
Mouth of Innoruuk
